AZ PLC Job Vacancy Announcement – 5 Positions


Job Summary

AZ PLC has announced five permanent job vacancies in accounting, auditing, export management, and general management. The positions are based in Addis Ababa, with salary offered on a negotiable basis.

Job Requirements

1. Senior Cost Accountant

Educational Qualification

  • BA Degree in Accounting.

Experience and Skills

  • 3 or more years of experience as a Cost Accountant.
  • Ability to control inventory movement on the system and reconcile it with physical counts periodically.
  • Proficiency in Peachtree and Microsoft Office is mandatory.
  • Ability to accumulate and allocate costs.
  • Ability to handle duties under pressure.

2. Senior Accountant

Educational Qualification

  • BA Degree in Accounting.

Experience and Skills

  • 3 or more years of direct work experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to perform payroll and tax-related duties.
  • Knowledge of government compliance requirements.
  • Ability to perform general accounting tasks.
  • Ability to produce timely standard financial statements.
  • Ability to handle duties under pressure.

3. Internal Auditor

Educational Qualification

  • BA Degree in Accounting.

Experience

  • 3 or more years of direct work experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

4. Export Manager

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum of BA/BSc in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or International Business.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of service in Ethiopian commodity export business.
  • At least 4 years in coffee, oilseeds, and pulses export management.
  • Minimum of 3 years in coffee export is mandatory.
  • Successful track record in sales and successive career progression is required.

5. General Manager

Educational Qualification

  • MSc/BSc in Industrial/Mechanical Metal Engineering.
  • MBA/BA Degree in Management or a related field of study.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of service.
  • At least 3 years as a General Manager in the steel manufacturing business.
  • Team-building skills.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Computer literacy skills.

Educational Qualification

Educational requirements vary by position, ranging from a BA Degree in Accounting for accounting and auditing positions to relevant bachelor's/master's degrees for the Export Manager and General Manager positions.

Experience

Experience requirements range from 3+ years for accounting and auditing positions to 8+ years for Export Manager and 10+ years for General Manager.
